Philadelphia Eagles Reach Major Agreement with Brandon Graham, Per NFL Insider Ian Rapoport

Posted Mar 26, 2026

Philadelphia, PA — Nearly a year after announcing his retirement, pass rusher Brandon Graham of the Philadelphia Eagles is returning to the team.

Graham, who was drafted by the Eagles at No. 13 in the 2010 NFL Draft, spent his entire career in Philadelphia.

In Super Bowl LII, Graham made a game-winning strip-sack on Tom Brady, sealing the Eagles’ 41-33 victory over the Patriots.

That victory marked the Eagles’ first-ever Super Bowl title, and the moment became a legendary highlight in the team’s history.

At the time of Graham’s retirement announcement, he had just helped Philadelphia win Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.

When Graham announced his retirement, it seemed like a storybook ending to a career of an Eagles icon.

However, Graham loved the Eagles too much to quit, and he decided to unretire and rejoin the team last October.

Graham confirmed that he isn’t ready to retire for good and wants to play at least one more season.

"Hopefully, we can win another one in my last season coming up," Graham said during an event honoring Dick Vermeil.

In early February, Graham mentioned on his Brandon Graham Unlocked podcast that he’d return if Eagles GM Howie Roseman “makes that call.”

In late February, Roseman acknowledged, "Brandon Graham is always welcome in Philadelphia, obviously."

Roseman also highlighted Graham’s versatility, playing defensive tackle late last season and continuing to make a major impact.

Graham is considered an all-time Eagles great and is a future Eagles Hall of Famer.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles have proposed a one-year contract extension to veteran defensive end Brandon Graham.

While the two sides are still negotiating contract details, it seems certain that Graham will play one more season in Philadelphia.

Last season, Graham posted 3 sacks, 8 tackles, 3 quarterback hits, and 2 tackles for loss in 9 games.

At 37, his numbers aren’t eye-popping, but his leadership for the young defensive core is invaluable.

With Graham’s contributions and leadership, he remains an integral part of the Eagles’ defense.

Former First-Round Pick WR Shocks NFL by Publicly Begging Philadelphia Eagles for a Chance to Redeem Himself After Serving Prison Sentence
Philadelphia – A former NFL star, once known for his explosive talent and game-breaking speed, has re-emerged into the spotlight after serving more than three years in prison. Following the completion of rehabilitation programs and mandatory community service, he was granted parole by the Nevada parole board in early 2026, opening the door for a possible return to professional football. That player is Henry Ruggs III, the former first-round wide receiver of the Las Vegas Raiders, whose promising career came to a devastating halt after a tragic incident. Ruggs, selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, quickly built a reputation as one of the league’s most dangerous deep threats, showcasing elite speed during his time at Alabama and in the NFL. However, everything changed after his involvement in a 2021 drunk-driving crash that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old woman and her dog, ultimately leading to his conviction and imprisonment. Now, after serving his sentence, Ruggs is seeking a second chance—this time directly appealing to the Philadelphia Eagles. He is reportedly willing to accept a minimum salary deal, estimated between $800,000 and $1 million, with no guarantees, simply for the opportunity to prove himself again. Ruggs hopes to earn a roster spot through training camp, starting from zero and rebuilding his career step by step. The NFL community remains deeply divided. While some believe in redemption and second chances, others argue that the gravity of his past actions should permanently end his career. The Eagles have yet to make an official statement but are said to be reviewing the situation carefully behind closed doors. At 27 years old, Ruggs remains in strong physical condition, but any potential return will be met with intense scrutiny from fans, media, and league officials alike. The NFL now faces a difficult and emotional question: should a player with such a past be given another opportunity, or are some mistakes simply too severe to be forgiven?
