Eagles Face Difficulty Trading QB Tanner McKee After Sudden Surge in Market Value – Team Considering Keeping Him Through 2030

Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Eagles are facing unexpected challenges in trading quarterback Tanner McKee, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, as his market value has skyrocketed in recent weeks.

McKee, who struggled to secure the starting job last season, is now attracting serious interest from multiple teams. However, the Eagles are facing tough decisions about his future.

Despite limited playing time last year due to competition for the starting role, McKee’s potential as a dual-threat quarterback has created significant buzz around his name.

With his physical strength and arm power, McKee has shown flashes of potential in his limited appearances, leading many to believe he could develop into one of the league’s top quarterbacks.

The surge in McKee’s market value has caught the Eagles off guard. Once seen as a potential trade asset, the rising interest in McKee has caused Philadelphia to reconsider their approach.

With much of his potential still untapped, the Eagles are now considering the possibility of holding onto McKee and developing him for the long term.

McKee’s impressive stats, including a passer rating above 85 in the 2025 season and his ability to make big plays with both his arm and legs, have increased his trade value.

Some reports suggest that the Eagles could receive 2 first-round picks and 3 second-round picks for McKee, an offer they may find hard to turn down.

The Eagles have acknowledged that, given his age and skill set, McKee could be a key piece in their future for years to come.

Some reports indicate that the team is now considering keeping McKee through the 2030 season, allowing him ample time to develop into the player they envisioned when selecting him so highly in the draft.

With the scarcity of top-tier quarterbacks on the market, McKee’s value has increased significantly, and many teams see him as a rare opportunity.

The Eagles are now weighing whether to capitalize on this surge in market value or take the risk of keeping him and developing him into a franchise quarterback.

At this point, no trade has been finalized, and it appears that the Eagles may be leaning toward keeping McKee, especially as they weigh the long-term benefits of developing him.

The sudden shift in the quarterback market has made trading McKee a much more complicated process than the team originally anticipated.

For now, the Eagles appear committed to holding onto their young quarterback and taking the time to develop him into the leader of their franchise.

With the 2026 season approaching, McKee’s future remains uncertain, but it’s clear the Eagles are looking at the bigger picture, considering the possibility that McKee could be their QB1 for many years to come.

Philadelphia Eagles Reach Major Agreement with Brandon Graham, Per NFL Insider Ian Rapoport
Philadelphia, PA — Nearly a year after announcing his retirement, pass rusher Brandon Graham of the Philadelphia Eagles is returning to the team. Graham, who was drafted by the Eagles at No. 13 in the 2010 NFL Draft, spent his entire career in Philadelphia. In Super Bowl LII, Graham made a game-winning strip-sack on Tom Brady, sealing the Eagles’ 41-33 victory over the Patriots. That victory marked the Eagles’ first-ever Super Bowl title, and the moment became a legendary highlight in the team’s history. At the time of Graham’s retirement announcement, he had just helped Philadelphia win Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs. When Graham announced his retirement, it seemed like a storybook ending to a career of an Eagles icon. However, Graham loved the Eagles too much to quit, and he decided to unretire and rejoin the team last October. Graham confirmed that he isn’t ready to retire for good and wants to play at least one more season. "Hopefully, we can win another one in my last season coming up," Graham said during an event honoring Dick Vermeil. In early February, Graham mentioned on his Brandon Graham Unlocked podcast that he’d return if Eagles GM Howie Roseman “makes that call.” In late February, Roseman acknowledged, "Brandon Graham is always welcome in Philadelphia, obviously." Roseman also highlighted Graham’s versatility, playing defensive tackle late last season and continuing to make a major impact. Graham is considered an all-time Eagles great and is a future Eagles Hall of Famer. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles have proposed a one-year contract extension to veteran defensive end Brandon Graham. While the two sides are still negotiating contract details, it seems certain that Graham will play one more season in Philadelphia. Last season, Graham posted 3 sacks, 8 tackles, 3 quarterback hits, and 2 tackles for loss in 9 games. At 37, his numbers aren’t eye-popping, but his leadership for the young defensive core is invaluable. With Graham’s contributions and leadership, he remains an integral part of the Eagles’ defense.
